Transmit D-VOLMET report via both VHF voice and data link channels, using DVOLMET Ver.8.0 system.

■  The system can be upgradeable to fully integrated airports system.

The broadcast will be continuous and repetitive for more than 8 Airports.

The system offered will update the broadcast information immediately a significant change occurs as a result an automatic (real-time processing) or manual input to the system. (Automatic or Manual Mode)

The System, Dual Lan Redundancy architecture will be open and modular both in software and hardware components. The system will be easily adapted and expanded to meet additional needs, such a telephone access to information broadcast, new external interfaces, data link or implementation of extra services such as any combination of D-VOLMET services.

Selectable multiple related Airports and FIR for broadcast and filter out meteorological data of undesignated airports.

Logger

Records, user name events, all received /incoming meteorological details and D-VOLMET Message on to the Record Database with date and time meaning History.

Logs all the users events, alarms and status of the systems and voice recording capability for D-VOLMET output message.

Any faults can be occurred on the system, will be recorded on to the ERROR DB (error database) automatically.

■ Logs all uplink downlink events with aircrafts

Interconnecting

The system can be interfaced with the local meteorological server, enabling transmission of essential data such as wind speed/direction, temperature, dew point, ceiling, QNH, sigmet, etc and if the data is not available, information can also be typed in on the VOLMET user interface.

The system is also interfaced with Data Link Service Provider (SITA, ARINC) and VDL for to provide digital communication with aircraft (D-VOLMET), and with a VHF transmitter for the VOLMET VHF voice service

Interfaced with AWOS, AFTN, VCCS, GAMS,

Recording & Playback  or New External Interfaces

Range of Wind Speed, Temperature, Wind direction, etc. and selection of pre-recorded or synthesized voice will be made on the Broadcasting Settings

Selectable interfaced components on the Site Settings.

  • Selection of Male or Female Voice.
  • Provides New User Name and Playback of Recorded Voice.
  • Selection of voice recording, Met Correction, Full Screen.

■ Changeable speech rate and Airports met updated time.

Encode and decode D-Volmet messages in accordance with a standard protocol. These encoded, two-way digital messages  and sent to the aircrafts over the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS®) network

If the Aircraft requested any Airport Met information from the Airports list of the System, the system uplink the related Airport Met information to the Aircraft.

Alarm and Error Management

Display Warning related with all the meteorological data errors into the alarm window with voice.

If the meteorological information is not updated from meteorological data source appear warning into the alarm window for update delay with voice warning

In case of all alarm or error, a beep or speech sound is played from all terminals logged into the system and D-VOLMET system’s windows displays an ERROR.

User HMI

Display current operational and updated meteorological information.

User friendly type of the operations automatic or manual.

Display all Airports Met information and sigmet report.

Display current VOLMET and D-VOLMET Message

Review and/or print previously validated D-VOLMET information.

CMS (Control Monitoring System)

Integral monitoring and control function, which shall display the Lan, connections and working status of all components, which include main, hot-standby servers, workstation, Meteorological Data Source, AFTN, NTP GPS Time Server, Audio (AMBU) unit, Transmitters etc.
